According to the training program for interventions in various emergency situations, the Satu Mare Fire Department conducted, today, 25.04.2024 AC, an exercise with forces and means in the field.
The tactical situation was represented by a fire at an economic operator in the municipality of Satu Mare, distributor of regular fuels, but also of the LPG type, where by calling 112 a fire at a fuel supply pump is reported, with the danger of its propagation to the LPG tank.
The exercise was carried out simulating real conditions of warning and operative intervention in the shortest possible time. Thus, in order to optimally manage the emergency situation, more than 20 military personnel went to the scene of the fire with 3 water and foam extinguishing vehicles, a height rescue vehicle, a SMURD ambulance and a Personal Transport Vehicle and Multiple Victims (ATPVM).
After the fire was extinguished, a search-rescue team was formed, which identified a victim who showed signs of smoke poisoning.
After the exercise was completed, the situation was returned to normal, the economic operator being able to resume his activity.
Such exercises will be held periodically to prepare and train the forces involved in handling various types of emergencies.
During the exercise, the following was observed:
- ensuring the necessary logistic support for the maneuvering of forces and means in the field for the implementation of operative intervention actions;
- evacuation of people and animals from the affected area;
- supervision of environmental factors, complementary sources of danger and their neutralization.
