The isolated families in Bihor received gifts…

The Easter holiday does not only mean cakes, rest and colored eggs, but also solidarity and compassion towards those in need. The members of the West Alpine Off Road Association visited, the other days, the isolated areas of the Apuseni Mountains to bring smiles to the faces of children and adults who live in hard-to-reach places.

Before going out into the field, car and off-road enthusiasts contacted the authorities in the targeted area, specifically that of Roșia commune, to find out how many families would need help.

“The members of West Alpine Off Road set off again to the most difficult-to-reach areas of the Apuseni Mountains to share hope and faith. We wanted to offer a gesture of kindness, a smile. To those in the high mountains, life, times, and us … we haven’t forgotten them”, says a post published by the NGO’s members on the Facebook page.

The humanitarian campaign was organized last weekend, so that needy families could enjoy packages during Holy Week. The adventurers took the donations with about 20 off-road cars.

“We reached several dozen people. All the packages were customized, depending on the number of family members and their ages,” he detailed on Monday for Bihorthe president of the West Alpine Off Road Association, Cornel Doble Jr.

The gifts were non-perishable products and hygiene products, but also toys, supplies, clothing and shoes.

The group of well-wishers has been organizing such charitable actions in isolated villages for a decade. This was the 12th edition of the campaign.
