A Romanian travel agency announces the launch of direct charter flights to Larnaca, Cyprus, from June 7 to September 27. The flights will be operated by AnimaWings with the company’s new A220 aircraft.

“Christian Tour, the largest travel agency in Romania, launched direct charter flights to Larnaca, Cyprus, in an event attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus, the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Romania, as well as of several partner hotels of 4 and 5 stars in Cyprus”, announces the company, according to news.ro.

The flights will have a weekly frequency, being operated every Friday, starting from June 7.

A holiday package starts from around 400 euros

A vacation package starts from around 400 euros, with seven nights’ accommodation and air transportation.

“Last year, anticipating the growing interest of Romanians towards this very popular holiday destination in the Mediterranean area, also called Aphrodite Island, we did a small test with a few groups of customers. It was a success, so we decided that from this summer we will have weekly charter flights to Larnaca. From autumn we are even planning regular scheduled flights to Cyprus, because there is also great interest in the business area, and we will operate, through AnimaWings, three flights a week to this destination,” says Cristian Pandel, CEO & President of Christian Tour.

For the flights to Larnaca, AnimaWings – a company that recently became 100% Romanian after Christian Tour Holding SA acquired the majority package of 51% from Aegean Airlines – will use its new Airbus A220 aircraft.

“They are very modern and reliable aircraft, based on a new concept, which respects all environmental requirements and passenger demands. The aircraft have low fuel consumption, low CO2 emissions, less noise pollution and a very high degree of comfort for passengers, by the reduced number of armchairs per row and by the considerably larger space for each passenger”, Cristian Pandel also says.

For this summer, tourists can purchase either Christian Tour holiday packages to Cyprus, with accommodation at the best partner hotels, or just charter flights, between June 7 and September 27.
