Four internationally wanted criminals were brought back to Romania after they fled to other European countries

The Romanian police announce that four people wanted internationally were brought to the country on Tuesday, from Italy, Sweden, Germany and Scotland. Two of those pursued were convicted of murder, according to News.ro.

The Romanian Police announced on Wednesday that: “On April 23, 2024, the Romanian Police brought 4 people to the country, who had warrants issued in their names for the execution of certain punishments, deprivation of liberty or criminal sentences”.

The quoted source specified that it is a man, 26 years old, domiciled in Botoşani, wanted internationally for the crime of attempted murder. He was brought from Sweden, having been issued by the Botoşani Court, in his name, a warrant for the execution of the 5-year prison sentence.

At the same time, a 33-year-old man, domiciled in Argeş, was brought in, internationally wanted for committing the crime of insult. He was brought from Italy, having been issued by the Câmpulung Court, in his name, a warrant for the execution of the prison sentence of 3 years and 4 months.

In addition, a 52-year-old man, domiciled in Sri Lanka, internationally wanted for the crime of murder, was brought. He was brought from Germany, having been issued by the Bucharest Court, in his name, a warrant for the execution of the 19-year prison sentence.

Another young man, 21 years old, domiciled in Vrancea, wanted internationally for committing the crime of aggravated theft in continuous form, was brought to the country from Scotland. He had issued, in his name, by the Focşani Court, a criminal sentence of internment in a detention center for 3 years and 3 months.

Those in question were imprisoned, in order to execute the warrants or sentences.
