The passengers of a flight from Romania were subjected to control by the French police upon arrival in Paris. This happened on Monday, April 1, i.e. after Romania entered AirSchengen. Among the passengers was MEP Vlad Gheorghe, who reports that when he asked the agents for an explanation, they shrugged their shoulders and only stated that they were following the orders of their superiors.
It seems that Romania entered Schengen only on paper, at the moment. All the passengers of a plane that landed from Romania were subjected to a document control by the French police. MEP Vlad Gheorghe was also on the plane, who filmed in the Paris airport and posted the images on the Internet, ȘtiriDiaspora.ro cites.
“No schengen : the police stopped me on the plane in Paris ! Discrimination continues, be full of complaints! At first they spoke in English. When they realized it was bad, they only knew French. Unlucky, because we also know French and were able to communicate. They failed to offer any explanation”, wrote Vlad Gheorghe in the description of the clip on TikTok.

The Romanian MEP says that he asked for an explanation from the border control agents, but they shrugged their shoulders.
“Okay, we’ve entered Schengen. They’re checking everyone’s passports. Nice, isn’t it? France. Schengen, but not really! Look, that’s Schengen. Look how nice I’m sitting on… how I’m sitting on the plane from Romania,” says Gheorghe . “I just had a discussion with them. Maybe he gets angry on the spot. I just had a chat with them. I asked if they do random checks (random, no). They said they are also checking Germany and other countries. But, I asked afterwards, if I was going on the plane to Germany. They didn’t know what to say to me. They said that the superiors tell them where to go”, says the Romanian MEP.
“This is Schengen. That’s how they receive us. I took the matric number of the one who said he was superior. And we’re going to protest everywhere. And I’ll also write to the European Commission. That… if this is Schengen, that they move our border when we get off the plane… practically a faster border. It’s not a problem, we’ll complain to them everywhere,” Vlad Gheorghe says in the video clip posted on TikTok.
