Raids continue on the roads of Bihor. Drivers fined and left without a license – Oradea live

Between March 29 and 31 of this year, the policemen of the Bihor County Police Inspectorate carried out extensive actions in an integrated system, to prevent and combat risky situations, acts committed with violence or driving under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances. Also, the actions of the Bihor policemen aimed at combating the driving of vehicles on public roads with excessive speed or not adapted to the road conditions.

The actions of the Bihor police officers were aimed at maintaining a climate of order and public safety among the local community, by carrying out specific, punctual actions, with increased numbers, both within the Oradea municipality and within the Bihor county.

Thus, at the end of the week they were deployed 24 preventive-reactive actions, in an integrated system, and 21 filters were carried outbeing involved in actions 521 policemen from the structures of public order, traffic police, criminal investigations, weapons, explosives and dangerous substances, transports and fighters from special actions, 229 gendarmes, but also border police and representatives of other law enforcement structures.

Within the actions, 2,096 people were registered. Also, 1,814 tests were carried out to detect the consumption of alcohol or drugs.

Following the actions and checks carried out, the Bihor police applied, in total, 411 contraventional sanctions, with fines amounting to 222,043 lei.

At the same time, they were found 37 offences, of which 21 related to road traffic regulations, seven to Law no. 143/2000 on combating drug trafficking and illicit consumption and nine other crimes.

Of the total sanctions, 266 were applied for non-compliance with the road traffic regime on public roads. Of these, 159 were for exceeding the legal speed limits, 33 sanctions were for not complying with the legal provisions on wearing a seat belt, 18 were for driving under the influence of alcoholthree irregular overtakings, three irregular stops were sanctioned, two sanctions were for the lack of ITP, two for not giving priority to passing vehicles, and 46 sanctions were for other violations.

At the same time, the Bihor police detained 56 driver’s licenses and 48 registration certificates.
