Samsung recently announced the launch of its new Galaxy F55 smartphone in India. After careful analysis, it turns out that this version is nothing more than the rebrand of the Galaxy C55, which was launched earlier this month in China.
The company has not yet revealed an exact date for the sale, saying only that it will take place “at the beginning of next month”. However, it has been stated that the Galaxy F55 will be available through online retailer Flipkart and on Samsung’s official website, suggesting an online-only launch like the other F-series devices.
Same hardware configuration, different packaging
It is not the first time that Samsung has resorted to rebranding or even marketing two devices with minor differences. Whether we call it the Galaxy F55 or the C55, the truth is that both are essentially variants of the Galaxy M55, with the only difference being the presence of vegan leather material for the rear case.
This means that you will benefit from the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Full HD resolution, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage space with the possibility of expansion via microSDXC, a triple main camera with a 50 MP main sensor and a 50 MP front camera, as well as a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Attractive color options and premium finishes
The Galaxy F55 will be available in the same orange and black colors as the C55 variant. Samsung will provide more details on availability and pricing once they are officially announced.
With this new launch, Samsung seems to be targeting a market segment that appreciates modern technical specifications combined with a premium design and high-quality materials such as vegan leather. It remains to be seen whether the rebranding strategy will be successful in India and whether consumers will respond positively to this offer.
