Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou announced on social media that his 15-month-old son had died.
“Too soon to go, but he’s gone. My little boy, my friend, my partner, Kobe was full of life and joy. Now he lies lifeless. I’ve called his name countless times, but he doesn’t answer. Next to I was the best man, and now I have no idea who I am. Life is so unfair that it hits us where it hurts the most. How can you live with this? help me if you have an idea because I really don’t know what to do and how to live with this situation”, noted Ngannou on X.
Messages of condolence for Ngannou
The fighter’s manager, Marquel Martin, posted a message stating that he and “millions of other people” will pray for the Cameroonian.
Conor McGregor was among those who sent condolences to the 37-year-old boxer.
“So sorry to hear of your loss Francis, my prayers go out to you and your family at this time,” the Irishman responded on X.
Ngannou’s last fight was a tough loss to Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia. After the match, he dismissed suggestions that he would return permanently to MMA, where he became famous.
