One of the two sub-prefects of Sibiu was released from his position

Sebastian Gheorghe Șebu was released from the post of sub-prefect by the Romanian Government on March 28. His replacement has not yet been announced.

MIA pensioner since 2016, chancellery director at the Prefect’s Institution between 2017 and 2019, Sebastian Șebu (center photo) was appointed to the position of sub-prefect of Sibiu on January 12, 2022. During Thursday, the Government decided, by decision, his release from office, along with that of a sub-prefect of Dâmbovița. The decision is not reasoned, nor was it followed by one appointing any other person to this position.

Currently, the other post of sub-prefect is occupied from October 2023 by Gabriel Floarea, former local councilor in Cisnădie.
