A driver died yesterday after the tanker he was driving overturned in the town of Mărăşeşti in Vrancea county.

The truck registered in the Republic of Moldova was transporting ethanol, which is why several fire crews blocked road traffic until they made sure that there was no danger of explosion. The driver who remained incarcerated was taken out of the cabin and resuscitated, but the doctors could no longer save him.

Traffic was diverted through Mărășești, on the direction Focșani – Bacău.

Several police crews, firefighters from ISU Vrancea and ambulance crews are on the scene.
