The border police detected at the Urziceni Border Crossing Point a man with dual Romanian-Hungarian citizenship driving a car, although he did not have a driver’s license for the category of car he was driving.
Yesterday, April 27, around 4:20 p.m., at the Urziceni Border Crossing Point, on the way out of Romania, a 49-year-old man with dual Romanian-Hungarian citizenship presented himself at the border control. He was driving a Mercedes Benz car with a trailer registered in Romania.
When checking the documents for exiting Romania, the border police found that the person behind the wheel only had a driving license for category AM, B, C, not B and E, as would have been necessary for the road combination he was driving.
In the case, documents were drawn up prior to the start of the criminal prosecution for committing the offense of driving on public roads of a vehicle for which the law requires the possession of a driver’s license by a person whose driver’s license is inappropriate for the category or subcategory of which the respective vehicle belongs .
