460 teachers from Sibiu County will learn how to give first aid from Sibiu Red Cross instructors

--

460 teachers from Sibiu county will benefit from training courses through which they will learn essential first aid techniques. For their training, the Sibiu County Council will allocate the sum of 100,000 lei, the courses to be held in the course of 2024, in the premises of the educational units.

It’s about the project “First Aid in Schools”, initiated by the Red Cross, Sibiu branch. Within it a maximum of 37 groups will be created in the entire county, divided into 33 training centers.

“We are extremely happy, but also emotional at the same time for the fact that we can continue this project so dear to us and at the level of Sibiu County. We have just completed the training of the teachers in the municipality of Sibiu and since we started this project, it was a beautiful dream to be able to train the teachers in the whole county as well. And this beautiful dream came true because every time we asked for help, Mrs. President Daniela Cîmpean, together with her team, supported this initiative and took the necessary steps to start these courses as soon as possible. I thank them very much in this way and we are grateful that we always find a partner and a friend of the Red Cross”, said Raluca Morar, director of the Sibiu Red Cross.

The project was well received by the County Council who decided to finance it so that it could be extended to schools in the county.

“A First Aid course is more than necessary for each of us, even more so for those who have the task of supervising our children every day. Knowing how to react in emergency situations makes the difference between life and death. That’s why providing the necessary sums to implement this project is a moral duty we have towards the community. Thank you to the Sibiu Red Cross team for this effort, and we are grateful for your determination! You are an example of involvement in the community, and we, as representatives of the administration, will always support by all means any approach that brings added value and safety to the residents of our county”, said Daniela Cîmpean, president of the Sibiu County Council.
