The Marghita court rejected the arrest proposal made by the prosecutors on behalf of the man from Budoi, Bihor, detained on Wednesday, after killing three dogs by hanging.
The court ordered that the 55-year-old Cristian Felician Paskui, from Bihor, be placed under judicial control for a period of 60 days, forbidding him to leave the village where he lives, but also to raise or take care of such quadrupeds.
The measure ordered by the Marghita Court can still be contested at the Bihor Court.
Cristian Felician Paskui was detained on Wednesday, for the intentional, unlawful killing of three dogs, and a 28-year-old woman from the same locality is being investigated in the same case, for instigation.
As he reported Bihor, the three dogs were killed by the man on Tuesday. The first was his neighbor’s dog, which entered his yard and allegedly bit a pig. Annoyed, the man decided to take revenge: he hit it on the head with a shovel, and then, when the quadruped became dizzy, he took a string and hung it from a tree in the garden.
There he was surprised by a 28-year-old citizen, who offered him money if he “takes care” in the same way of her dogs, which she wanted to get rid of. And the individual accepted, killing two more puppies, also by hanging.
According to a press release sent on Wednesday by the Bihor Police Press Office, the case was reported to the Animal Protection Office on Wednesday morning, and shortly the 55-year-old man and his compatriot were brought up for questioning, the first for killing animals with intent , without right, and the woman for instigation.
The investigations in the case are continued by the policemen of the Bihor Animal Protection Office, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Marghita Court.
