New investments in public lighting in Alba Iulia. Public lighting is to be modernized in several areas of the Alba Iulia municipality, through an investment of over 4.1 million lei.

Alba Iulia City Hall launched on April 25, in SEAP, a tender for the design and execution of the works within the project “Increasing energy efficiency and intelligent energy management in the public lighting infrastructure in the municipality of Alba Iulia”.

The total value is estimated at 4,103,991.6 lei, without VAT.

New investments in public lighting in Alba Iulia

According to the documentation, the project aims to:

• replacement of 140 lighting devices with LED sources mounted on existing poles;
• extension of the lighting network with LES 0.4 kV approximately 2,600 ml and 117 new metal poles;
• installation of 117 lighting devices with LED sources mounted on new metal poles;
• installation of 257 telemanagement control modules

The lighting devices will be equipped with LED sources, and their power will be chosen following the lighting calculations for each street.

The streets/street sections on which there is public lighting that is being modernized are the following:

• parking near Tudor Vladimirescu Street,
• the park in front of the Mercur store,
• Bucharest Street,
• the park near Bucharest Street,
• Nicolae Bălcescu park,
• alexandria park,
• Iuliu Maniu Square,
• the park near Iuliu Maniu,
• Bucovini street,
• Septimiu Severus Street and the areas between the blocks,
• Costache Negruzzi street,
• Ariesului street,
• Horizon street,
• Bishop Square,
• Decebal street,
• the street parallel to Octavian Goga street,
• Christian Tell Street,
• street John Constande,
• Frații Jderi street.
