A new investment in the social infrastructure was completed, the project “Ensuring a family atmosphere for the children from the Placement Center for the disabled child “Prichindelul” – Sibiu, by creating a day center”.

Pavilion I of the Placement Center for Children with Disabilities “Prichindelul” was modernized and equipped, in order to operate the future day center, which is to be established in the coming months.
It has a capacity of 74 seats, and the entire investment amounts to over 5.5 million lei, the financing being provided from European funds.
The direct beneficiaries of the center will be 24 children with disabilities (coming from the family-type houses under construction), as well as 50 children with disabilities from the local community.
At the same time, the center’s conditions and facilities will indirectly benefit all the center’s staff, along with the children’s legal representatives and the institutions involved in child protection.
The President of the Sibiu County Council, Daniela Cîmpean, declared that two other such investments will be made in Sibiu County:
Beyond the investment here, I want to tell you that the social assistance system will soon benefit from a family-type house for all the children in the fostering centers, finally the children from the fostering centers in Sibiu county will have a place at home in the houses that are being built and will be put into use for them.
They will benefit from day care centers, like this one, to get the services they need, and the special education system will also improve with two important investments, two special schools in Sibiu and Mediaș and these done also to ensure an increased degree of comfort both for the children who study there and for the teaching staff.
I return to the current investment in this center, I have always shown that, with the help of European funds, the authorities can do important things in the communities they lead.
It would not have been possible to make the investment here if we had not accessed these funds on the operational program 2014-2020, and here are 5 and a half million lei coming and found in everything that was done in this building.
