Directed Energy Weapons and a Secret Sabotage Unit: New Report Reveals Who’s Behind the Mysterious Havana Syndrome

The mysterious “Havana Syndrome” that has affected numerous American diplomats and spies in many countries around the world may be related to the use of directed energy weapons by members of a sabotage unit of the Military Intelligence Service under the Army General Staff Russian (GRU), revealed the investigative media group The Insider, quoted by Reuters on Monday.

A US intelligence investigation, the findings of which were made public last year, found it “highly unlikely” that a foreign adversary was responsible for the condition, first reported by US embassy officials in the Cuban capital, Havana. in 2016.

But The Insider, a Russia-focused investigative media group based in Riga (Latvia), discovered that members of a GRU structure known as Unit no. 29155, were at the scene of the health incidents when they were reported by American personnel, writes Agerpres.

The Insider’s year-long investigation, in collaboration with “60 Minutes” (from CBS News, USA) and Der Spiegel (Germany), also reveals that high-ranking members of Unit no. 29155 have received awards and promotions for work related to the development of “non-lethal acoustic weapons”.

Russia has previously denied any involvement in the case.

Among the symptoms reported by the affected people were mentioned migraines, nausea, memory loss and dizziness.

As The Insider reports, the first incident with symptoms characteristic of “Havana syndrome” may have occurred before 2016.

Thus, according to him, “there were attacks two years before in Frankfurt, Germany, when an American government employee stationed at the consulate there lost consciousness due to the impact of something similar to a powerful energy beam.”

The US Congress passed in 2021 the so-called “Havana Act” which authorizes the State Department, the CIA and other US government agencies to provide financial compensation to personnel and their families affected by this syndrome during their mission.
