French actor Gerard Depardieu left the police station on Monday where he was questioned for more than eight hours in connection with two allegations of sexual assault allegedly committed in 2014 and 2021, announced his lawyer, Christian de Saint-Palais, reiterating that the actor defends his innocence – EFE and AFP report, according to Agerpres.

He said the 75-year-old actor had left the police station, but declined to say whether he would have to return in the coming days.

Depardieu went to a police station in the French capital in the early hours of the morning to be questioned by investigators in connection with two allegations of sexual assault committed during two filmings.

French film legend, Depardieu is currently the subject of several proceedings for accusations of sexual assault and even rape. In total, about fifteen victims accused him of abuse or rape. Since 2020, he has been accused of rape and sexual assault on the young actress Charlotte Arnould.

Depardieu has always defended his innocence and did so vehemently in an open letter published in October 2023 in Le Figaro newspaper. “I have never, absolutely never, abused a woman,” the 75-year-old French actor said in that letter.
