No lawsuit will prevent Donald Trump from running for and even getting a new mandate, believes sociologist Alfred Bulai. In the case of Romania, the US elections are particularly important, the sociologist warned, for Newspapers.com.
The SNSPA professor reviewed the major changes that a success of Donald Trump, who is rated as the favorite in the polls, will bring. The businessman will put an end to the conflict in Ukraine, and the attention of the American administration will be redirected to the main threat to US supremacy, communist China.
“If there are any important elections, including for Romania, they are the Americans’, in November. Don’t forget that Trump will be a much more experienced candidate than the first time around.
He’ll get out of this war thing nicely, because he doesn’t want to be in Russian history. It will be interesting. He, in foreign policy, has other stakes. And he’s right, in a real way. The stake is not Russia. Russia is an outdated country from a military and technological point of view. The real challenge will be the fight against China, Trump said before his first term”, said Bulai, for Newspapers.com.

Under the command of Joe Biden, implicitly the administration of the Democratic Party, the pre-existing problems in American society have become more acute, the university professor warned.
“Biden’s politics created some of Trump’s politics. There are ghost towns in America. There are US factories that have gone to China or South Korea. We don’t realize, it’s a bigger drama. The problems in America are quite serious. It will be a much more dramatic policy, further on. We’ll see if Joe Biden continues, although I don’t know if he will, he seems pretty wilted.
But in principle, there may be changes, including in Romania. It will be harder for Europe. As Putin anticipated, all European reactions have withered, no one can hold this war. A war like the one in Ukraine cannot be sustained indefinitely. Some leaders tell European citizens that they defend democracy in Europe, as if there is democracy in Ukraine, that Russia is the aggressor, OK. But if you start to go wrong and a few months pass, the question arises ‘why don’t you find some form of understanding?'”, commented Bulai.
According to the latest polls, Donald Trump is rated with 47% and Joe Biden with 43%.
