Iowa State’s Audi Crooks, Bill Fennelly talk about Crooks’ historic NCAA Tournament game

STANFORD, Calif. – The Iowa State women’s basketball team survived a close call with Maryland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, coming back from a 20-point deficit to beat the Terrapins on Friday.

The challenge gets even more difficult for the 7-seed Cyclones, who take on the 2 seed and host Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 9 pm CT at Maples Pavilion.

Audi Crooks tallied a career-high 40 points in Iowa State’s victory against Maryland. It was the second-largest come-from-behind win in NCAA women’s tournament history.

Iowa State will likely need another big game from the freshman phenom when the Cyclones take on Stanford. Stanford is coming off a dominating win over Norfolk State in the first round on Friday.
