vivo V40 SE 5G debuts in Europe and offers an elegant design, bright display, large battery

The end of March also brings us a new vivo phone in Europe. It’s about the model vivo V40 SE 5G, midrange model that brings an elegant design, generous battery with fast charging and a bright display. It’s an official UEFA Euro 2024 phone and there’s a good chance it will arrive in Romania soon. Below I have details about this new model from the company’s portfolio.

vivo V40 SE receives a body made of polycarbonate, but in the purple variant (Leather Purple) brings ecological leather to the back. On the Crystal Black shade it has textured polycarbonate on the back. It measures 163.1 x 75.8 x 7.79 mm and weighs around 185 grams. We also get IP54 water and dust resistance.

The phone has a 6.67-inch diagonal AMOLED display, with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Full HD+ resolution. The panel reaches a brightness of up to 1800 nits in peak, respectively 1200 nits in bright light. It runs Android 14 with the FuntouchOS 14 interface applied over it, and under the hood we find a processor Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot here + stereo speakers, but we don’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone comes with a battery of 5000mAh, and the supply is made at 44W per wire. On the back we will find a 50 MP camera with PDAF but no OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro. In front we get a 16 MP camera. The fingerprint sensor is optical, and the phone will be sold for around 300 euros.
