Reghecampf, accused of domestic violence

The impresario’s lawyer, Oleg Burlacu, revealed that Laurentiu Reghecampf is being prosecuted for the crime of domestic violence. More precisely, in September 2022, Reghecampf was filmed while fighting in the street with Anamaria Prodan, with whom he is in divorce and separation and custody proceedings.

“You are very well informed. It is very true that, starting today, the criminal investigation in the domestic violence case has started against Mr. Reghecampf. It is the consequence of those events, an event, an altercation that does no honor to anyone, even more so to publicly exposed characters”, explained the lawyer.

Oleg Burlacu: On the civil side, damages of 1 million euros are requested

The lawyer Oleg Burlacu also said that “we also constituted a civil party as a result of the beating and other violence, a civil party with the amount of 1 million euros”

“In addition to the fact that today Anamaria Prodan Reghecampf gave statements as an injured party, we also constituted a civil party as a result of the beating and other violence, a civil party with the amount of 1 million euros, which we appreciate as damages material and moral arising from that unfortunate event. (…) The legal classification of the criminal acts was well understood by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Buftea Court. Indeed, we are facing a crime of domestic violence”, the lawyer also stated regarding the trial with Reghecampf.

Reghecampf could be convicted

The lawyer also emphasized the fact that Reghecampf could be sentenced for domestic violence, saying that “we have a number of factors that support the criminal complaint made by Ana”

“We are basically talking about hitting and other violence with aggravating circumstances. If the punishment limits for hitting and other violent are between 3 months and 2 years, for family violence we have a punishment limit increase up to a quarter of their amount. It is something that the legislator understood to do, because there are many situations of this kind in Romanian society. (…) Obviously, our evidence is not limited to those images that we have all seen. We also have a medico-legal certificate and other documents. We have a number of factors that support the criminal complaint made by Ana”, said the lawyer, according to rtv.ro.
