The policemen from Bihor waited, once again, at the entrance to the country, for the drivers returning home

On Monday, Bihor traffic police stopped the cars that entered the country from PTF Borș, on the Borșului Road, before entering Oradea municipality, and served the drivers and their passengers with coffee and water, offering them thus the opportunity to refresh himself, before continuing his journey.

As in previous years, the policemen of the Crime Analysis and Prevention Department together with the Road Service policemen of the Bihor County Police Inspectorate, together with border policemen of the ITPF Oradea, Bihor gendarmes and representatives of the Regional Center for Prevention, Evaluation and Consiliere Antidrog Oradea carried out, on Monday, a new preventive action in traffic, to prevent the victimization of citizens through road accidents caused by fatigue at the wheel and to prevent victimization through various types of crimes specific to the Easter holidays. The drivers were stopped and served with coffee or water. At the same time, the prevention police officers from Bihor discussed with the drivers and passengers of the stopped vehicles about the safety measures they must take into account when they start on the road, in order to prevent thefts from homes, from cars, frauds, they conveyed to them to protect their personal belongings, not to leave them unattended in cars, to take care of casual acquaintances, so as not to be victimized. The Bihor prevention policemen offered drivers useful preventive recommendations regarding driving at night and preventive driving, in order to prevent their involvement in road accidents. “Regarding the prevention of victimization through road accidents, the traffic and prevention policemen from Bihor targeted, as part of the preventive action, mainly the drivers who drove thousands of kilometers to reach the country in the period leading up to the Holy Easter Holidays, exposed category victimization through road accidents caused by tiredness behind the wheel. Recommendations were also offered for the prevention of road accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances”, said chief commissioner Alina Fărcuta, spokesperson of IPJ Bihor. The preventive actions, on the eve of the holidays, continue on Tuesday, April 30, starting at 10:00 a.m., also on Borșului Road in the municipality of Oradea.
