Galda de Jos City Hall, a new attack on CJ Alba because of the waste management center. Why is the municipality losing money?

--

The mayor of Galda de Jos, Romulus Raica, launched a new attack on the leadership of the Alba County Council on Wednesday.

The subject of the dispute is focused on the contract for the waste management center, which operates in the commune.

The mayor of Gada de Jos says that the local administration is losing money because the RER VEST operator did not move its headquarters there, as they previously agreed.

He sent a letter to the inhabitants of the commune, through the Facebook page of the Galda de Jos City Hall.

The scandal between the mayor’s office and the county council also has a political underpinning. The current mayor Romulus Raica, elected on the PNL list, would no longer be supported for another mandate, the current vice mayor, also a liberal, being preferred in his place.

The letter of the mayor of Galda de Jos, published on Facebook

“Dear citizens of the Galda de Jos commune

We are in a situation where the obligations of the Alba County Council assumed by the management contract that you see below are not respected, flagrantly violating the rights of the land owner, i.e. of the Galda de Jos Town Hall.

Every legal norm is thus defied, but also the general norm of common sense, being an offense to the inhabitants of our commune.

For those who do not know yet, I state that the important difference between the main office and the secondary office of a company is that at the main office all taxes are paid, while at the secondary office only local taxes and duties are paid.

And since Rer-Vest SA only has a secondary headquarters in the commune of Galda de Jos, it contributes to the local budget with approximately 5 billion annually (the mayor expresses it in old lei – ed.)…

If they had established the main headquarters they would have had to pay another 20 billion per year, that is 25 billion annually.

Is it worth mentioning that the president of the county council promised, among other things, free sanitation for all residents of the commune of Galda de Jos?

I must admit that a few years after the location of the landfill in our commune, the County Council managed to complete the asphalting of a road section of about 700 meters laid out between the block area in the center of the village of Galda de Jos and the poultry farm in the same locality.

This work is the only benefit granted to our commune by the Alba County Council since the placement of the landfill, and it is far too little compared to everything that was assumed and promised by the leadership of the Alba County Council.

Moreover, the management of the Alba County Council continues to refuse dialogue with the Galda de Jos City Hall regarding the financial rights due to us from the management contract, a clear proof being the fact that our last written request has not received any response for more than 2 months , thus exceeding the legal term of 30 days.

Under these conditions, in order to defend your rights, as long as I am “still mayor”, I will not hesitate for a moment to act in court to legally obtain the rights due to the citizens of our commune.

With respect, your Mayor Raica Romulus”

He also posted documents, including parts of the original contract.
