Good times are coming for Romania! The British magazine The Economist makes forecasts regarding Romania’s economy. According to the British analysis, until 2028, Romania’s economy will grow constantly.

The study highlights the fact that Romania will become one of the economic forces of Europe. The average economy will exceed the 3% threshold, so our country will dominate the podium with the fastest expansion in all of Europe.

Spectacular forecasts for Romania

If in the period 2009-2018, Poland was the one that shone as the leader of economic growth in Europe, recording an impressive average of over 3%, it seems that Romania’s turn will come.

The English forecasts also say that for the period 2019-2028, Romania and Hungary are about to become the stars of Europe, with the most explosive growth in the entire European Union. And by 2028, Romania will be the one to become the star of Europe.

The last decade was on the part of Northern Europe, which was favored from an economic point of view, so that Germany, Poland and even Great Britain were the stars of the European economy.

If we look at the southern part, here the situation was more difficult. First came the euro crisis of 2010-2012 and the difficult consequences that followed, then the devastating impact of the pandemic.

Europe is eliminating carbon dioxide emissions

Europe plans to become a carbon neutral pioneer. Specifically, this initiative provides for the elimination of carbon dioxide emissions from electricity sources, the modernization of industries, heating systems and transport to run on green energy.

As expected, this ecological transformation is also fraught with challenges. But for some, this process could lead to economic stimulation, as investments in renewable energies would stimulate demand and geographic potential would create opportunities.

Countries that could experience sustained growth fueled by this green direction could be those near the windy coast of the North Sea or in Spain.

A more difficult resource to replace with green alternatives are the sectors that produce cement or steel, which still use fossil energy.

In some countries, there are manufacturers who sell these products, but who benefit from much lower energy costs, having access to sources such as natural gas or green electricity and hydrogen in abundance.

If we take into account the field of heavy industry, Germany is the biggest consumer of energy in Europe, consuming about twice as much as the next countries in the ranking, Italy and France.

The automotive industry is also facing a new wave of challenges, as cars with combustion engines are gradually being eliminated from the landscape, making way for electric vehicles (EVs) that are rapidly gaining ground on the market, notes project-e.ro
