An unusual phenomenon conquered the TikTok platform, quickly becoming popular and spreading to Romania, where it inspired many users to imitate it. This trend led many Romanians to adopt a novel behavior in supermarkets, which they documented and shared through videos. It is an activity that has captivated attention and sparked curiosity, prompting people to participate and contribute to the spread of this new fashion.

A lot of videos on Tik Tok end up becoming viral in Romania as well. Some of them can be interesting, while others generate great controversy. That’s what happened this time too, right around the Easter holidays. Several users filmed themselves breaking into chocolate bunnies. Later, they found 50 and 100 euro banknotes inside.

The gesture created real hysteria

A lot of Romanians arrived in several supermarkets in the country and started breaking the chocolate bunnies looking for certain amounts of money, observatornews.ro shows.

Although there were users who later admitted that they put the money in the bunnies, it was not enough for the Romanians. Lots of people have ended up smashing chocolate bunnies in supermarkets, hoping to find a treasure.

Traders are desperate

The phenomenon that went viral on TikTok, although funny at first glance, started to create big problems. More precisely, traders are desperate and don’t know what else to do to save their products, informs observernews.ro.

In some stores, the chocolate bunnies ended up being put in alarm boxes. It wasn’t enough though. Some Romanians are still looking for solutions so that they can reach them and keep looking.

Most people say that this phenomenon was primarily a marketing strategy around the Easter holidays. But no one would have expected things to escalate in such a manner.

We note that it would not be the first time something like this happens. Not infrequently, certain challenges, some even very dangerous, have gone viral, both abroad and in Romania, and have generated great concern.
