We are the European runners-up in the ranking of the cheapest cities for employees who work remotely. Compiled according to the costs for rent, food and internet, the top contains metropolises from all geographical areas, except the Capital.

“Oradea narrowly lost first place in the ranking made by a British research company. Eight euros separate it from the champion city of Tuzla, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A meal at a restaurant and rent costs more in Bihor,” says Andreea Milea, Observer reporter .

“In third place is Craiova, where expats can eat cheaply in the city and have internet at a good price. Below the podium is Plovdiv in Bulgaria, with an average cost of over 300 euros per month, followed by a series of cities from us: Iaşi, Timișoara, Sibiu where internet and meals in the city cost about the same, while there are big differences in rent and maintenance”, says Andreea Milea, Observer reporter.

“For statistics lovers, the most expensive cities in Europe for remote work are Zurich, London, Lausanne, Geneva and Dublin, where just for the minimum necessary you need, on average, 2,000 euros per month”, adds Andreea Milea, Observer reporter, according to Brother Group data.
