During 2020, while teaching the “Information and Communication Technology” subject in the 8th grade, the teacher was accused of threatening a 15-year-old student with a broom who did not keep quiet during class. The situation was repeated a year later. The teaching staff asked the students to sign a document in which they assumed that they would be financially responsible for any damage caused to the equipment in the computer lab, an aspect that was refused by several children. Because she did not want to sign, the teacher offended a student.

On March 25, 2024, the Pitesti Court of Appeal waived the punishment of the teacher, who admitted his actions. The teaching staff only received a warning from the court. His attention was also drawn to his future behavior and the consequences he faces if he commits more crimes. The court’s decision is final. In motivation, the judges draw attention to an unprecedented educational crisis: “The academic disinterest of students is increasing and fueled by the lack of coercive means on the part of teachers who, in turn, are faced with increasingly reprehensible manifestations on the part of the students, expression of a society in which the emphasis is no longer on education and appropriate conduct in school”.
