Likewise, we will see with our own eyes whether the flights via Warsaw will be full or not. In the absence of a market study, the indications would be both pros and cons.
And the most important argument in favor of taking the seats on the planes to Warsaw is that, at least until the Moldovans from Hi-Sky enter from autumn with the Oradea – London route, the flights to and from the capital of Poland will be the only international flights on the modernized Oradea Airport. I mean, whether you want it or not, you don’t have anything else at hand in Oradea.

Another parameter that could fill the Warsaw flights would be a ticket price in which the subsidy from the Bihor County Council would be felt.

Otherwise, Budapest, Cluj Napoca, Timișoara and Debrețin Airports will remain an option for Bihor residents with a driver’s license, because with all the boarding and disembarking times, you don’t fly much faster to “Frederic Chopin” Airport in the capital of Poland than you drive on the highway to “List Ferenc” in the heart of Hungary, which is also a kind of airport hub.

So the difference between a success and a semi-success will only be the professionalism of the Polish flight operator. Because, obviously, you lose your desire for Warsaw if your luggage gets lost, if your flight is delayed and you miss the main flight, or even if you don’t take off from Oradea at all due to fog, wind or the flight controller’s indigestion. In other words, from causes of turbulence or flatulence.

It will be enough for two or three news stories with Bihorians who missed their vacations or business trips due to delayed flights for travelers’ appetite to decrease accordingly. At the moment, a compensatory “offer” from a “low-cost” company was circulating online: namely, that if two flights were delayed, you would receive a canceled flight for free…

But let’s remain optimistic and prepare some tourist routes to visit the old European center of Warsaw, at least once in a lifetime.
And, in parallel, let’s hope that the authorities do not rest on their laurels, but will at some point also attract direct flights from Italy, Germany, France or Spain.

Until then, all we have to do is look with concern not only at the bigger cities, but also at medium-sized cities, the size of Oradea, such as Bacău, Suceava or Târgu-Mureș, which have direct flights to large European cities.
