70 firefighters and 20 workers from the Forestry Department intervene to extinguish a forest fire in Bacau county

At this moment, the military firefighters are acting to locate and extinguish a forest fire in the city of Tg. Ocna.

Forces and means from the Bacău, Onești, Moinești Fire Departments and the Comănești Intervention Guard moved to the field, respectively 70 firefighters, as well as 20 workers from the Tg Forest Bypass. Ocna and 7 workers of SVSU Tg. Ocna.

When the intervention forces arrived, the fire manifested itself with flames, at the level of a pine forest, on approximately 20 ha, the crews acting on a terrain that is difficult to access, the slopes being extremely steep.

The action of fire crews is hampered by the strong wind, which caused the flames to spread rapidly.

Firefighters’ intervention is mainly focused on creating a line of protection for the homes at the base of the slopes on which the fire occurred.

The extinguishing action is dynamic, the forces being supplemented with extinguishing crews from ISU Neamț and ISU Vrancea.

Also, the Mobile Command Point from the Bacău Fire Department and the staff of the operative group moved to the field.

The intervention is led in the field by the first deputy chief inspector, colonel Galita Cătălin.
