And the Minister of Labor gave good news to the Romanians. Recently, Simona Bucura Oprescu spoke on Romania TV about what will happen to the long-term public pension system. After the changes in September 2024, another increase will follow, even sooner than Romanians expect.
According to the minister, pensions will also be increased in January 2025. The new law provides that at the beginning of each year, the allowances of the elderly will be increased. Simona Bucura Oprescu emphasized that, in the past, there were years when there was no increase in pensions.
