From this month, EuroWings airline flights became operational from Iași Airport.
To begin with, regular flights will be operated to Stuttgart and Dusseldorf, Germany, announced the manager of Iași airport, Romeo Vatră: “It’s good news, because we’re talking about the EuroWings company, which is a low-cost company, a division of the Lufthansa company, and which for us represents a first in the idea that we also have companies other than the ones we’re used to until now. It’s good that we have two more destinations from Germany. Germany, from our point of view, was a country where more destinations were needed because we have important communities of Romanians.”
The manager of Iași airport, Romeo Vatră, also stated that, at the same time, the Romanian company Animawings wants to make regular Iași – Bucharest flights from September.
Romeo Vatră stated that the discussions are at an advanced stage, and the new operator is taking steps to purchase an aircraft to serve these flights, our colleague, Constantin Mihai, also informed us.
