At 51 years old, Andreea Esca is the most famous and longest-serving news presenter in Romania. Although discreet when it comes to her family, her parents, the star has now made unexpected confessions from her childhood.

Andreea Esca: “Everything in our lives is related to the way we lived our childhood”

It all started after he presented a material on Știrile Pro TV in which he said that parents in single-parent families can no longer be forced to work at night. “During the diary this evening, I realized that these people are also right who tell us that everything in our lives is related to the way we lived our childhood.

What “grabbed” the thought? From the law by which parents in single-parent families can no longer be forced to work at night. And which started from the situation of hospital employees, who, if they are single parents, have no one to leave their children with during the night shifts. Is that so! Let me tell you what it was like for me”, the presenter began her confession on Facebook.

She revealed that her father was never at home, in Bucharest, during the week, because he worked in Cernavodă. Her mother was a nurse at the Fundeni Oncological Institute and sometimes had night shifts. As a child, the star went with her mother to the hospital at night.

“Dad was in Bucharest, so at home, only one day a week (because Saturday was not free), because he was working in Cernavodă. So my mother was alone with me almost all the time. And when she was on call, being a medical assistant in the operating room, at the Fundeni Oncological Institute, because I lived close to the hospital, she was allowed to sleep at home, and if there was an emergency, they would call her (on landline).

“Suddenly I was in the operating room. I don’t remember this adventure bothering me”

That’s what I remembered. By my mother, who would come and wake me up, suddenly, at any hour of the night: Andreea, it’s an emergency! That she just couldn’t leave me alone in the apartment at night at that age. In two steps and three movements I was dressed and in the car. Sometimes we also took the puppy, so that he wouldn’t be alone, bark, and disturb the neighbors.

Dacia’s mother was forging red as fire, her name was Muțica… and she also played the battery-powered tape recorder, located on the front seat, from where the tape of Abba or Iglesias woke us up, and once we were in the operating room. I don’t remember being bothered by this adventure, on the contrary, I was like in an action movie”, Andreea Esca also told.

However, she thanks her mother. She learned to be prepared for any situation at any time. “And I also thought it was incredibly interesting to see operations live… not on TV. Then we don’t realize that maybe it was strange what we were living, that’s how we were… But now, I understand why I liked adrenaline all my life. Why I get dressed in 5 minutes and why I would leave anytime, anywhere with enthusiasm without blinking. But also why do I get bored with too normal things…

Before I journal, every night I adore within myself what might sound like a threat to many! The stage director, who enters the make-up booth, a little agitated, and says: Andreea, 5 minutes! or Andreea, 3! How well Anita, the editor of the journal, said today: You were prepared for broadcasting as a child! Thank you, Mama!” concluded the star.

Currently, Dumitru, Andrea Esca’s father, is 85 years old, and her mother, Lucia, is 82 years old.
