The decision of the Bucharest Court is final

The prosecutor’s office attached to the 1st District Court proposed to the 1st District Court the preventive arrest of Dan Ilie Morega after the former prefect of Gorj violated judicial control and got behind the wheel again even though his license was revoked for medical reasons.

The court decided to place Morega under house arrest, and the measure was contested by the prosecutors and the former prefect

Recently, Dan Ilie Morega, whose license was revoked for medical reasons, was spotted several times behind the wheel even though he no longer has a driver’s license, four times in Gorj County, once in Mehedinţi County and once in Bucharest .

Such an incident took place on March 13, in Bucharest, Dan Ilie Morega being investigated under judicial control after he drove a car even though his license was revoked for medical reasons, and he is prohibited from driving vehicles on public roads.

At the end of February, he was admitted to the Psychiatry ward for an examination to determine if he can drive again, as he is banned from driving for 6 months, during which he will undergo treatment.

“I don’t take them, but after a month I assure you that I will drive”, said Morega after discharge, referring to the drugs. In addition, the doctors recommended – in the discharge form – that he be permanently accompanied by a person, to continue the treatment and be periodically evaluated psychiatrically, according to stirileprotv.ro.
