And this year, the “Cosmonaut Dumitru Prunariu” Planetarium (which operates under the Braşov Zoo) has decided to organize periodic observations of the Sun (telescope observations), free of charge, in the Nicolae Titulescu Park in Braşov. The decision comes as a result of the great interest shown by the general public, present at the events held in the same location, in the previous year.
“On May 20, June 17, August 12 and September 23, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., we will be present in the Nicolae Titulescu park, the park near the Braşov City Hall, with our three telescopes to follow in detail the star that gives us light and heat”announced the director of the Braşov Zoo, Alin Pînzaru.
He also announced that the “Week of the Sun” will be organized in July, but the details will be announced later. Three telescopes will be used for observations, each of them having different technical characteristics and filters.
