In Arad, two people were pre-arrested and the third is under house arrest for drug trafficking and inciting international drug trafficking. The three people are accused of causing a foreign citizen to introduce almost 440,000 drug tablets into Romania.
In this case, the police officers from Combating Organized Crime and DIICOT Arad prosecutors made 6 home searches.
“Following the home searches, several tablets from the category of high-risk drugs – alprazolam – for the purpose of marketing, as well as other means of evidence, were discovered and seized. From the research, it emerged that the persons in question, together with another man, previously arrested in the same case, allegedly caused a foreign citizen to introduce into Romania approximately 440,000 tablets, containing diazepam, alprazolam and clonazepam, high-risk drugs, which were to be be sold on the territory of the country”said the spokesperson of the Arad Police Inspectorate, Mădălin Florin Herbei.
From the home in Arad of the main suspect in this case, in February, the police also seized more than 400,000 tablets with narcotic substances, as well as 25 illegally possessed hunting cartridges.
