In a match counting for the Vth stage, the penultimate aa of the Futsal League 1 play-off, CSM Deva met FK Odorheiu Secuiesc, on Tuesday evening, at home.
The match was one without stakes, since, before the game in Deva, CFR Timișoara had beaten United Galați, 7-5, at home, the two combatants being, thus, qualified for the final of the championship, with the mention that the band from Danube had , already secured the tickets for the last act. However, the match at the Sports Hall in Deva was an extremely spectacular one, which is natural, taking into account the fact that the most beautiful teams in domestic futsal met, both playing an open and eye-pleasing game.
If the first half was a bit more tactical, in which only one goal was scored, for Odorhei’s account, author Kanyo (11), the second half was a total spectacle.
Deveni equalized through Savio (24), but the Harghitans regained the advantage through Iszlai’s success (27). Immediately after that, Simic (28) managed a “golazzo”, with a sensational link, the success being repeated, with a similar execution, by C. Matei (32), and Deva had 3-2.
Roger Augusto’s team makes it 4-2, through Gavrilă (36), and the Odorhei players take out the goalkeeper, but the superiority in the field did not help them, as the final belonged to the hosts. Thus, after a bar from Simic, Nastai makes it 5-2, for Savio to take the score to 6-2, all this happening in the 38th minute. Moreover, 6-2 was also the final score of this meeting, and CSM Deva, which, regardless of the result, could not lose the third place, officially came into possession of the bronze medals.
In the last play-off match, CSM Deva, who also won the Romanian Futsal Cup this season, will play away against United Galați.
This game, which can no longer influence the final configuration of the play-off standings, the order being Galati, Timișoara, Deva and Odorhei, will be played on Saturday, May 4, starting at 18:00.
