The town hall is looking for a company to maintain and repair urban furniture. The banks in the center of Sibiu, washed twice a week

Sibiu City Hall has put out to tender the specifications for the provision of maintenance, sanitation and urban furniture repair services within the municipality and in the Păltiniș resort. The company that will take over the contract will have to wash the benches, bicycle racks, planters, trash cans and street lighting equipment, but also intervene to repair them in case they get damaged.

The municipality is looking for a company to deal with the maintenance and repair of urban furniture in Sibiu and Păltiniș. “Besides the role of creating spaces for residents to relax and socialize, the elements of street furniture contribute to the enhancement and beautification of the city. Wear, weather conditions, climatic actions and vandalism affect the functionality of these facilities, which is why constant measures of repair, maintenance and sanitation are required. The pieces of urban furniture most frequently found within the Sibiu municipality are benches, trash cans, lampposts, balustrades, floors and filigrees,” the specifications state.

The contracted company will have to maintain the benches (except for those in the playgrounds and those managed by the Public Service for the Administration of Parks and Green Zones), the trash cans, the filigrees in the Astra Park and in the Dioda Zone, the sidewalks in the Bulevard park and on Calea Dumbrăvii towards the Zoo, as well as other types of furniture, depending on needs.

Benches in the center, washed twice a week

The 198 benches and tables in Piața Mare, Piața Mică, Piața Huet, on Nicolae Bălcescu Street and on Victoriei Boulevard – Cercul Militar will be washed twice a week. The 135 benches on Cetății Street, Calea Dumbrăvii, in Schiller Square, Aurarilor Square, Staircase Passage-Butoriul de Aur and in the green areas Boulevard, Casa de Cultură and 1 Decembrie 1918 Square will be washed once a week. The banks on Rennes, Rahova, Nicolae Iorga, Th. Aman, from Aleea Iasomiei, from the Hippodrome, from Coposu-amphiteatru Boulevard, from Lira Park and C. Negruzzi Park will be washed once a month. The banks in Păltiniș will also be sanitized once a month.

The lampposts will be cleaned of posters and washed with water after labor protection measures have been taken.

The duration of the contract will be 12 months from the date of signing and may be extended with the agreement of the parties. The estimated total value of the contract is 449,578.5 lei.
