This week, as part of the “Urban Nature – Oxygen for Constanța” program, a number of 266 students and 30 teachers, from 28 schools and high schools in the municipality, planted 2,500 saplings from six different species of trees and seven species of shrubs. The land that was forested is located in the area of Aurel Vlaicu Boulevard. The message of this initiative is to contribute to the awareness of combating climate change and to make the participants and beneficiaries of “Erasmus+” mobilities agents of change for the better. We mention that the “Erasmus Forest” initiative is among the actions aimed at protecting the environment and combating climate change, also supported by the educational programs of the European Union. The planting action was organized by the “Act for Tomorrow” Association with the support of the Constanța County School Inspectorate and the Constanța City Hall.
