In the center of Vaslui, a new edition of the Târglu de Ouă Encondeiate is being held, an event organized by the Vaslui County Cultural Center, in partnership with the Vaslui City Hall and the Vaslui County Council.
It has become a tradition for the “man with the icons” from Bacău to be present at the demonstration. The folk craftsman Rodion Stoian continues the tradition of wood-carved icons. But, he also came to Vaslui with opinci, Dacian wool, hats and spoons with popular motifs from his native village Răcătău, in Bacău county.
Consecrated folk craftsmen also participate in the Fair, who have prepared workshops for the people of Vaslui, where they can discover some of the secrets of egg painting.
The main purpose of the event is to promote and capitalize on the craft of dyeing eggs.
In addition to painted eggs, the people of Vaslui will be able to admire and buy icons painted on wood or glass, folk costumes, traditional ia, gingerbread and homemade chocolate.
Also, “Casa Răzeşului” from Pogoneşti came to the people of Vaslui with culinary art, specific to the Easter holidays.
