Outstanding cultural events organized by the Pitesti Cultural Center at the end of April, 2024

The Pitesti Cultural Center will host, on April 29 and 30, 2024, a series of cultural-educational events.

They will be able to be followed both online, on the page official Facebook of the institution as well as on the official website www.centrul-cultural-pitesti.ro.

Events are open to the public subject to availability.

Monday, April 29

– “From Munich 1938 to Minsk 2014. The capitulation of the Western powers”.

A lecture given by the historian Ștefan Dumitrache, the vice-mayor of the Curtea de Argeș municipality, scheduled at 12:00 in the Ars Nova Hall at Casa Carții.

The event will explore the reactions of Western powers to German and later Russian hegemony.

– “Human civilization and the religious phenomenon”: University Prof. dr. Ilie Popa, president of the “Memoria” Cultural Foundation, Argeș Branch, will start this cultural-educational project from 4:00 p.m., in the same location. The conference series will address the evolution of human civilizations and their interconnections with the religious phenomenon.

– Skill show and religious music “Under Your Cross”

From 19:00, in the Town Hall Square of the Pitesti Municipality, Ilinca Din and Paula Hriscu will perform alongside the Choir of the Archdiocese of Argeș and Muscel, as well as the Choir of the Princely Church “Sfântul Gheorghe”.

Organized in the context of the Easter holidays, this concert promises an unforgettable evening.

Tuesday, April 30

– “The director’s mind, a labyrinth of cosmic creation”.

At 15:00 in the Ars Nova Hall, the writer and publicist Nicolae Badiu will coordinate this event with Oscar-nominated director Bogdan Mureșanu as his guest.

Participants will have the opportunity to discover the complexity of the creative process in film direction.

Each of these events brings prominent personalities and deep themes to the fore, contributing to the enrichment of the cultural offer for the community of Pitesti and beyond.

Access to the events is free, with the recommendation to check the availability of places in advance.

This initiative underlines the promise of the Pitesti Cultural Center for the promotion of culture and education in an accessible and diversified format.
