Ryanair announces 30 weekly flights to Cluj-Napoca

--

For the summer of 2024, Ryanair announces a program that includes 5 international routes: Brussels, Dublin, London, Milan and Paris. The flight agency proposes a frequency of 30 weekly flights that will carry 285,000 passengers.

From March 31, Romania will be part of the air Schengen area, facilitating flights for more than 420 million European citizens. To celebrate Romania’s accession to the air Schengen area, Ryanair offers a discount on ticket prices between March 27-29 with prices starting from €24.99 available on the Ryanair website.

“As part of Ryanair’s S24 programme, we will carry over 285,000 passengers (an increase of over 40%) to and from Cluj-Napoca on 30 weekly flights, boosting the local economy and benefiting over 230 jobs. Our commitment to Cluj-Napoca airport and the region is evident as Wizz Air continues to reduce European connections, reducing both the number of aircraft and routes available in Europe, in addition to the more than 20 routes to and from from Romania that were canceled this summer,” says Mauro Bola, head of communication in Ryanair Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean area.

“We are happy for the announcement made by Ryanair regarding the increase in the frequency and number of passengers at Cluj-Napoca International Airport and we appreciate their dedication. This increase reflects both Ryanair’s confidence in Cluj-Napoca International Airport and the increase in demand for flights in this region. We are happy to continue our partnership with Ryanair and increase connectivity for our passengers. The increased frequency will bring new options and flexibility for travelers, whether flying for work or pleasure. At Cluj-Napoca International Airport we are dedicated to constantly improving our services to meet the needs of our passengers. We will continue to maintain a close relationship with Ryanair to increase our route network and improve the travel experience for all who choose to fly to Cluj.”, David Ciceo, CEO, Cluj-Napoca International Airport.
