Oţelul Galati defeated FC Hermannstadt with a score of 1-0 (1-0), on Sunday, at home, in a game from the 7th stage of the play-out phase of the Superliga football.

The only goal of the game was scored by Francois Yabre (3), with a header from the free kick executed by Ştefan Bodişteanu. For the Burkinabé, it was the first goal scored in the Superliga.

Steel played in ten men from min. 58, when the Portuguese Samuel Teles received a straight red card for elbowing the Japanese Sota Mino in an aerial duel. Teles had been introduced by coach Dorinel Munteanu on the field in min. 38, instead of Diego Zivulic, who had a yellow card.

The Sibians forced the tie at the end, but they missed three great opportunities, through Gabriel Iancu (68 – bar), Cristian Neguţ (79 – acrobatic restart, but Jonathan Cisse took it off the goal line) and Ionuţ Stoica (90+1 – shot) from the box, caught by the goalkeeper Eduard Pap).

Steel is the leader in the play-out and was coming after its only defeat in this phase of the championship. The Sibians were undefeated for four stages (two wins, two draws).
