The strong wind caused more damage during the night from Thursday to Friday in Bihor county, when a yellow code warning of bad weather was also valid.

Firefighters intervened after two trees were felled, and pieces of a roof ended up on a communal road.

According to a statement sent by the spokesperson of the Crişana Emergency Situations Inspectorate, Lieutenant-Colonel Camelia Roşca, the rescuers’ interventions took place between 3 and 4 o’clock.

In the time interval 3.30 – 4.25 “the military fire crews of the Sălard Guard and the Beiuş Fire Department acted in the localities of Şişterea (Cetariu commune) and Răbăgani, for the removal of two trees felled by the strong wind on the roadway”, the release states.

Also, around 4 o’clock, the firefighters of the 1st Mai Guard and the 1st Oradea Detachment intervened in Ceica, where, for about three hours, they worked to remove the tin roof of a building adjacent to the local Baptist Church, which partially fell on communal road 191 and over a telecommunications pole.

Bihor county was under a strong wind yellow code, valid for several counties of the country, from Thursday evening from 8 p.m. until Friday morning at 10 a.m.
