FC Bihor Oradea has a top scorer driver! “I hope to take the summer team across the country”

--

It is about Cristian Gabriel Oșan (48 years old), who started playing football at the age of 6 in coach Marta’s group, alongside Adi Gongolea, Gheorghe Ghiț or Remus Marta, etc. In 1990, he joined the Săgeata Crisului project initiated by Romeo Zaccherini, where he had colleagues, among others, former first-echelon players Sebastian Sfârlea or Marius Popa, the current goalkeeping coach at FCSB.

Goal scorer at Olimpia Salonta

The qualities of a scorer brought him the first goalscorer trophy in the A1 county junior competition, when he scored 84 goals for Petrolul Borș.

“We returned from where we left in 1997, when FC Bihor was relegated to League 3 and a trial was held from the whole county to make up the team. The team was promoted and I ended up at Crișana Tinca, in the county, with whom I was promoted and came out top scorer again”, recalls the former footballer.

The good developments propelled him to Olimpia Salonta with which he won Division D (League 4) and the top scorer title with 32 goals scored in the 1998/1999 season. After a tour in League 3 with Olimpia, he made the step into Hungarian football, the highest level reached being the NBII (second league).

“I stayed in Hungary for seven and a half years, after which I went to Spain, where I also worked, but together with a group of Romanians, we formed a mini-football team near Tarragona”, says Cristian.

He withdrew from Partium

His “last shout” in football was in the Partium Oradea project, with which he promoted from League 5 to League 4. “We had a very good team then with Ion Dumitra, Mădălin Popa, Tibi Szeles, Ghiță Rus, Kadar Lorant or Attila Fazekas. From Partium I also retired from football activity, I was 41 years old”, Oșan told us.

Since then he started on the path of a bus driver, and from 2022 he transports the FC Bihor team to away games.

“I feel wonderful to be part of the FC Bihor family. As a small child, I was very fond of this club and I have fond memories of those who are part of the technical and even administrative staff. I grew up with FC Bihor, and my biggest wish is to take the team all over the country in the summer, to the cities that have clubs in League 2. As I have traveled all over Europe, my dream is that after the new stadium comes in in the football circuit let’s go with FC Bihor in the European cups. A city like Oradea deserves to have a team at the highest possible level”, concluded Cristian Oșan.

Before reaching the “European roads”, FC Bihor starts the play-off from League 3, Series 8, with two games at the Iuliu Bodola Stadium, the first trip being in Peciu Nou commune from Timiș county in the 3rd stage.
