A street in Cluj-Napoca collapsed due to a landslide, car access being closed on the affected street.

The landslide occurred on Uliului street. A crew with a special vehicle from Detachment 2 Cluj-Napoca was assigned to the scene, which found that one of the lanes of the roadway, for a length of approximately 20m, was affected, informs Monitorulcj.ro.

Also, the local police and the Voluntary Service for Emergency Situations from the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca were announced, who assigned crews and specialized personnel to the respective event.

“Car access to the affected street was closed. The situation is still being monitored in order to see its evolution”, stated the representatives of ISU Cluj for monitorulcj.ro.

“A request regarding a landslide that occurred on Uliului Street in the Cluj-Napoca municipality was registered in the ISU Cluj dispatch office. A crew with a special vehicle from Detachment 2 Cluj-Napoca was assigned to the scene, which found that one of the lanes of the roadway, for a length of approximately 20 m, was affected. At the same time, the Local Police and The Voluntary Service for Emergency Situations within the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, which assigned crews and specialized personnel to the respective event,” ISU Cluj reported.

Broken street in Slănic Prahova as well

A street in the town of Slănic in Prahove collapsed, on Thursday morning, on an area of ​​more than 60 square meters, the depth of the crater being about two meters, so the authorities decided to evacuate the locals from the area.

The land in the area affected by the landslide in Slănic Prahova has subsided by another 20 centimeters, according to the measurements carried out on Friday morning by the specialized staff contracted by the Slănic City Hall, the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) informed.

“We mention that up to this moment, 42 people have been evacuated from the buildings in the vicinity, and thanks to the care of the local public administration, two families have been sheltered at economic operators within the locality”, the DSU also transmitted on Friday.
