The long awaited pension announcement. The National Company “Pošta Română” informs that it has started distributing money in advance, before Easter, for the month of May.
Romanian Post started today, April 27, the distribution of pension money for the month of May, before Easter. In this way, all measures were taken so that the distribution of social rights was carried out in the shortest possible time.
Romanian Post has started the distribution of pensions
Valentin Ştefan, the general director of the National Company “Romanian Post” provided more information. The advance distribution of the money is possible through a combined effort of the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Finance, the National Pension House and partners in the banking sector.
Thus, the pensions related to the month of May will be distributed in advance by the postmen, starting today.
Valentin Ştefan emphasizes that they want to thank the pensioners and deliver the money as soon as possible.
In this way, he says, seniors in Romania will be able to enjoy the Easter holidays in peace.
“Through a joint effort of the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Finance, the National Pension House, as well as our partners in the banking sector, the pensions related to the month of May will be distributed in advance by the postmen, starting today. We want to be able to give this thanks to our customers, pensioners, to have their pensions as early as possible, so that they can enjoy, as is normal, the Easter holidays in peace, with their family and loved ones”, declared Valentin Stefan.
The total amount required for the advance payment of pensions
The management of the Romanian Post also conveyed that it thanks the employees who perform their duties with professionalism and devotion, putting above all the care for people, especially for pensioners.
For the advance payment of pensions related to the month of May 2024, by postal order, the amount of 1,961,165 thousand lei from the state social insurance budget, respectively 339,359 thousand lei from the state budget, is transferred to the National Company “Romanian Post”, and to commercial banks the amount of 6,346,977 thousand lei from the state social insurance budget, respectively 683,898 thousand lei from the state budget.
The total amount required for the advance payment of pensions amounts to 9,331,399 thousand lei.
The National Company “Romanian Post” is the national operator in the field of postal services. The company is owned by the Romanian state, represented by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization and Fondul Proprietatea.
The Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization owns 93.52% of the share package. Fondul Proprietatea owns 6.48% of the share package.
