PSD Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced, on Thursday, that the Government is extending the capping of RCA policy rates by another three months, until June 30. “We are extending the capping of RCA tariffs for another three months, until June 30. We want to combat this risk of excessive price increases due to the imbalances previously produced on this market and give a helping hand to the Romanians, as the ASF recently did and seriously reduced the RCA insurance in the case of transporters”, announced Ciolacu.

In other news, the Government analyzed, on Thursday, in the first reading, the National Strategy for Financial Education 2024-2030, its purpose being to improve the level of financial education among pupils, students, adults and economic operators. According to a press release from the Executive, the draft decision in this regard shows “the country’s commitment to increasing the level of financial education at the national level”. (…) “An increased level of financial education will generate behavioral changes that will contribute to improving financial sustainability, to strengthening the degree of well-being of Romanians and to the economic development of the country. The strategic approach to financial education at the national level is underlying the National Strategy for the sustainable development of Romania 2030, adopted by the Government in 2018”, the Executive also specifies.
