A car overturned and another was thrown into a house last night following an accident at an intersection in Arad. A 48-year-old woman and a 13-year-old child were injured and transported to the hospital.

On Wednesday evening, around 8:30 p.m., at the intersection between Calea Radnei and Mioriței Street in the municipality, there was a road accident in which two cars were involved. As a result of the impact, one of the cars overturned on its side, and the second came to rest against the wall of a house.

Four people were in the two cars, and as a result of the impact, a 48-year-old woman and a 13-year-old child were injured.

The two victims were transported to the hospital in a conscious state. “Following the accident in which four people were involved, there were two victims (a 13-year-old minor and a 48-year-old woman), conscious, cooperative and not incarcerated. The two victims were transported to the hospital for additional medical care and investigations. The other two people involved in the accident were medically evaluated at the scene of the event, refusing to be transported to the hospital. The Arad military firefighters also intervened to ensure fire prevention and extinguishing measures at the scene of the event,” ISU Arad reported.

The military firefighters of the Arad Detachment went to the scene with an intervention vehicle, a SMURD Mobile Intensive Care ambulance and a SAJ ambulance. Both drivers were tested with the alcohol test device, the results were negative.

The Road Traffic Agents must now determine which of the two is to blame for the accident.
