Almost 300 children, at the Astronomy and Green Future Workshops, at the Gorj County Museum

--

The Astronomy and Green Future workshops, organized by the Gorj County Museum “Alexandru Ștefulescu”, in April, were a great success, with a total of 294 participants.

Those present enjoyed various activities: they visited exhibitions, watched educational videos, could look at the Sun through a telescope, built models of spaceships and sundials, could observe and even touch a fragment of a meteorite, made decorations for Easter and painted, using reusable materials. they observed plants and insects through a microscope and magnifying glass, painted cacti on stone, planted flowers, made the Earth, in ceracolor, as seen from Space, along with methods to reduce pollution, and became, for a day, the saviors of the Planet, encouraging people, through their messages, to behave environmentally friendly.

These activities were organized, taking into account the fact that April is World Astronomy Month, on April 22 was Earth Day, and in the last week the schools had “Green Week” on their schedule. Students from: “Alexandru Ștefulescu” Secondary School, “Spiru Haret” National College, “Tudor Vladimirescu” National College and “Constantin Săvoiu” Secondary School participated, as well as children who enrolled in groups with individual participation.
