Another Romanian lost his life this weekend on the roads of Europe. It is about a 19-year-old young man, a passenger in a van driven by an acquaintance of his, who violently collided with another vehicle.

The tragedy happened on Saturday, in Austria, on the Ennstal-Straße (B320) near Radstadt, in the state of Salzburg. Two vans collided violently, and as a result of the accident, two young people lost their lives.

In a statement from the Salzburg police, it is stated that the accident happened shortly before 8 o’clock in the morning. A van driven by a 58-year-old Austrian citizen, traveling towards Radstadt, collided with a van driven by a 27-year-old Romanian.

The collision was head-on, and the impact was so strong that the intervention of rescue teams was needed to remove the four of the contorted beasts.

For two of the four, the rescuers’ intervention proved ineffective. A 29-year-old passenger in the van driven by the Austrian citizen was pronounced dead on the spot, and a 19-year-old Romanian man, who was in the van driven by the 27-year-old driver, died in the helicopter that transported him to the hospital .

As for the drivers, both are in critical condition, one of them being transported by helicopter to a hospital in Salzburg. Traffic in the area was interrupted for more than four hours.

Also in Austria, a Romanian without a license set the police on fire on Friday, after he tried to evade a filter organized on the A9, at the exit from Ried im Traunkreis. He was driving a car with Croatian registration numbers, and there were two other people in the car with him.

With the police on his trail, the Romanian entered the prohibited area of ​​a construction site at speed, crashed into a concrete barrier, but continued on his way, until at one point the right front tire came off the rim.

The three occupants of the vehicle left the car and ran into a nearby forest, where they were searched by 13 police patrols and a helicopter. They were caught after only half an hour, when it was found that the Romanian driver did not have a license, the license plates had been stolen, and the car was not registered for traffic.
